WELCOME to Newnan, Georgia… here we have the best to offer in residential housing and commercial business. We are located 39 miles southwest of Atlanta, which give us that suburban feeling but yet we’re close enough to Atlanta to enjoy the culture, shopping , history and “city life”.
And speaking of history, Newnan has a lot to tell. We are called “the City of Homes” for a reason. Newnan’s prosperity was due primarily to the cotton industry. During the Civil War it became a hospital city for the Confederate troops. Because of this, a majority of antebellum homes in Newnan are left untouched during the war and are still intact today. For those history buffs, the Confederate cavalry defeated Union forces at the Battle of Brown’s Mill just 3 miles south of town.
Even though Newnan is the county seat of Coweta County, there are surrounding communities with lots to offer. Sharpsburg is a growing area going west to Peachtree City. Going south finds Moreland and Hogansville areas of small development and even a small “fly-in” for those we are interested in keeping their planes close to home. Newnan/Coweta Airport is a recognized airport with corporate and private planes using this area south of Newnan, just off I85.
Newnan Real Estate and Coweta County Real Estate have many planned developments and subdivisions, two of the largest are Lake Redwine Plantation, and Summergrove. Both offer homes of many styles and prices, and both enjoy ‘green’ space which Newnan works so hard to preserve.
As you might be able to tell, we love this area and have been doing our own businesses here since 1979. We have always been in the real estate business, in the beginning for our own use and then Don became a Broker and Pat got her Agents license 14 years ago. We have enjoyed helping clients buy and sell residential property and also have many commercial clients for whom we have done 1031 exchanges (see our featured section) and helped move, expand and buy/sell businesses.
